Presidential candidates like Mitt Romney typically receive a bump up in the polls after they pick their vice presidential running mate. Historically, this vice presidential pick bump has been anywhere from three to nine percentage points. So far, Mitt Romney has seen a “Paul Ryan bump” of anywhere from zero to four points, depending on the pollster one trusts the most.
